Shaping a vision for Surrey in 2030
The online Vision 2030 survey remains open for residents, businesses, local groups and community organisations to give their views on what matters to them and what they want Surrey to be like in 2030. Preliminary analysis of some of the initial feedback shows Surrey people value Surrey’s countryside and green spaces, as well as the closeness to employment and business opportunities in London and the rest of the south-east. Looking ahead, they want Surrey’s communities to be well connected, with good transport and appropriate housing, and also want to see the right support and opportunities for young people so they can get a good start in life and fulfil their potential. The county council and partners are promoting the online survey over the summer – one way is by sharing the link to the survey with others. People’s views are also being gathered by a roving video crew visiting town centres and community events. The combined feedback will be used to create a shared vision for Surrey in 2030. You can find out more and see the survey on the council’s website at: www.surreycc.gov.uk/vision2030
