20,000 respond to Boundary Commission consultation The Boundary Commission for England has announced it has published the representations it received to its consultation on proposed changes to Parliamentary constituency boundaries in the south-east. The Commission received nearly 20,000 responses and is publishing them to allow the wider public to comment on them during the statutory four-week period, ending on 27 March 2017. Call Surrey County Council!

Changes to when you can call Surrey County Council From 8 April Surrey County Council’s contact centre hours are changing. Residents can phone with a general enquiry anytime between 9am to 5pm weekdays. For calls about adult social care, lines will still be open from 8am to 6pm weekdays and for calls about adult learning, lines will remain open 8.30am – 6pm. From Monday (6 March) the county council will be encouraging residents to register to vote in its elections on Thursday 4 May.  The elections are an opportunity for people to have their say on which local councillor they would like to represent them. In order to vote, residents need to be registered by Thursday 13 April.
