The Residents’ Association and Independent Group is the largest opposition group within Surrey County Council.

Our group leader is Cllr Catherine Powerll and we have members representing you on all committees of the council.

As Resident Association and Independent County Councillors, we aim to promote and safeguard the interests of our residents.

We seek to achieve an efficient, and economic local government.  Putting Residents First is at the fore front crucial to our work as County Councillors.  We live in our communities and understand the issues and concerns that affect the everyday lives of the residents we serve.

We all report back on our work on your behalf through local Residents’ Association magazines, Independent leaflets, websites, Twitter and/or Facebook.
