20,000 respond to Boundary Commission consultation
The Boundary Commission for England has announced it has published the representations it received to its consultation on proposed changes to Parliamentary constituency boundaries in the south-east. The Commission received nearly 20,000 responses and is publishing them to allow the wider public to comment on them during the statutory four-week period, ending on 27 March 2017. All representations have been published on their website at www.bce2018.org.uk, where you can search by a number of different options, such as name, reference number, existing constituency or type of respondent. There is also an interactive mapping system to locate comments geographically.
The Commission is encouraging people to read what others have said and add their views. An information pack is available for use by local authorities at: http://boundarycommissionforengland.independent.gov.uk/data-and-resources/partner-resources-for-the-2018-review/.
